This page is dedicated to the preservation of endangered birds in the United States. In this site you will learn about 5 different kinds of species that are on the red list.

Throughout American History, birds have played a part that no other creature could, by providing symbolic meaning, fulfilling dietary needs, and simply by being valuable in a beautiful and unique way. Since they are of importance, it is necessary to watch over them as stewards, making sure that none fade away into extinction.  Those which are endangered, such as the Ivory-billed Woodpecker, the Whooping Crane, the California Condor, the Peregrine Falcon, and the Golden-cheeked Warbler, should not be ignored.

These five birds highlighted are not the only species in danger – there are countless others that have similar stories. And yet each bird is a distinct individual, because the hand of God created them. He has commissioned us since the creation of Adam to be good stewards of all that that He has made. Thus it is imperative that responsible humans strive to save the dwindling few of a rare species who cling to life and existence on the planet before humans wipe them out forever. All that is left of any extinct creature, if anything at all, is a few stuffed specimens with bottomless, unseeing eyes that stare from museum cases. Such is the case with the Passenger Pigeon; which hapless breed is next to fade? We don’t need to let the birds fade away because they are vital for symbolic meaning, for fulfilling dietary needs, and by the essence of their beauty.

The Ivory-billed Woodpecker, the Whooping Crane, the California Condor, the Peregrine Falcon, and the Golden-cheeked Warbler are only a few of the many birds who are either bogged down in the danger of extinction, or are flying free, thriving. Making a difference for the life of a bird is possible.
